The Reviews for 1 Night (2017) 1080p

Charming indie romance for the booksReviewed byOlivia PopeVote: 10/10

I thought 1 Night was definitely a tender film that is perfect for the casual date night. It strikes a good balance between the bittersweet romance and the pains of coming of age, two themes that I have always found to be poignant in a movie. As the two love stories intersect, each couple learns about the complexities of love at different stages of a relationship, something we can all relate to. I also thought it did a great job putting a surprising twist at the end which made it stand out from other romance indies. I won't give anything away, but it's definitely a movie that had me thinking long after it ended. It follows in the path of Perks of Being a Wallflower and 500 Days of Summer in terms of quirkiness and charm. Overall, I thought it was a sweet, touching watch that is great for anyone who is looking for a thoughtful new movie.

Candid, Charming and QuirkyReviewed byfaithbloomVote: 10/10

Candid, charming and quirky is the simplest way to describe 1Night. I was left impressed with the talent of the cast and the relatable topics portrayed in this film. Though I've always been a fan of romantic films, it has given me a new-found respect due to the depth and the contrast between the stories of the couples.? ? This romantic drama follows two couples who share one night together, and have very different experiences. The young couple, Bea (Isabelle Fuhrman) and Andy (Kyle Allen), are exploring what it takes to make a relationship, while the older couple, Elizabeth (Anna Camp) and Drew (Justin Chatwin), try to discover what it takes to make a relationship last.? ? Camp and Chatwin's performances stood out the most to me. Though I am always impressed with their performances they brought something new that I haven't seen before. Camp proves that she can go deeper than singing covers of songs like in Pitch Perfect and Chatwin shows that he is more than just a disposable character like in Shameless. The film keeps you entertained till the end and gives an unexpected plot twist that makes it unlike most romantic dramas.

Two-Taled Realistic Love StoryReviewed bymadelinechildsVote: 10/10

When a couple's marriage is on the line, they attempt to rediscover their high school affection they once felt for each other all in one night. We get a glimpse about the troubles of their complicated relationship; a marriage filled with bundled up unsaid emotions and unresolved past fights that have left the main character, Liz, disheartened and her husband, Drew willing to fight for their marriage. They have to decide whether their differences and past mistakes are enough to end their love story, or whether this night will be a chance for them to finally repair it. They unexpectedly meet two high schoolers, Bea and Andy, that are at the same hotel for their prom. Bea and Andy add a really refreshing young mix to the movie and their relationship allowed us to see the differences between young love and marriage.

I loved seeing Anna Camp and Justin Chatwin take on more serious roles than what we normally see them play. Their chemistry on-screen felt very authentic and real, making me more enthused to see how their relationship was going play out in the end. If you're over the sappy and clique romance films that always end the same way, then this film is worth the watch. The end will most definitely surprise you.
